One of the hippest locations in Amsterdam at the moment – De Hallen has been open for quite a while now, but they only had their official opening on the 6th of February. Instead of their usual weekend Local Goods Market, they organised a special Neighbourhood Market, inviting organisations and entrepreneurs from the neighbourhood to present their products, skills and trade.
It was a real surprise to take part, as the stand was only secured the Monday before the event. So exciting! Just enough time to give a shout to my Boot Campers and Buggyfitters and ask them to come for an hour or two, hang out and tell people how much they love the classes :)
Also, my friend Jennifer from the Well Travelled Kitchen brought healthy snacks, which helped us lure people in and made for a very cheerful atmosphere around our table. People love sweets!
Dear Jennifer, Johanna, Margot, Jill, Jeremy and Laura, thanks for your help!
If you haven’t yet been to de Hallen, I very much recommend you pass by. The buildings are stunning – beautifully restored tram depots which now host a movie theatre, a hotel, several restaurants, a food hall and the Local Goods Market on the weekends – so lots to do.
