We are heading out of winter and into spring when, in the Netherlands, we have a flurry of public holidays, start to head off for long weekends and look to book summer holidays. I am seeing clients doing more business travel again as well.
So, how do you make sure you train when you are away?
It is indeed a challenge to fit in training when you are away, however, if you plan it in and are determined to do something, it is definitely possible to do it.
In this blog, I am sharing my 5 tips to help you keep up your exercise routine while travelling.
Research and planning
Is there a gym you can use? Does it have a day pass available? Do you need to take some bits of equipment? When can you fit your training in? Are there biking/walking tours available where you are? These are the kind of questions you need to ask yourself before you set off.
Commit to shorter workouts
Better less training than none at all!
Train first thing in the morning
Go on a cycling/trekking/skiing holiday
Join a local class or activity that you wouldn’t normally do
You are away in a different place, so why not do something different? Take a look around and see if you can join a class with the locals and book it before you even leave home.
